I bought this to fly a 7-8 pound cat but then decided it might not be quite tall enough and bought the medium size, then bought the Sherpa Cat Tote, which used for the flight and was pleased with. The small (or medium) Sherpa Sport might have been OK (Sherpa “Guaranteed On Board” said it was big enough for her) but I did not want to risk having the airline turn us away. As it was, they hardly looked twice at the cat or carrier when we checked in or boarded so we probably would have been fine. I also thought that the Cat Tote was better designed for a cat – that this Sherpa Sport might be a bit too open for a cat that is easily scared and has never flown before. So unless you have a small cat, you might want to go with the Sherpa Cat Tote since when I had the Sherpa Sport in small and medium but chose to use the Cat Tote. All three carriers arrived quickly with standard shipping.

I bought this for an airline trip with our 6 pound Chihuahua, Rudi. He fit the carrier pretty well, somewhat cramped though, but it does offer plenty of ventilation, and fairly easy access for getting the reluctant pooch in and out of the unit, and has a nicely padded faux sheepskin floor that’s removable and washable. The carrier has the right dimensions for under-seat stowage according to most airlines, and it did fit easily under the seat in front of me, even in coach class. However, being a ‘soft-sided’ design, the ‘frame’ seems a bit flimsy and doesn’t hold its shape but tends to collapse around the occupant, especially when it’s carried over the shoulder with the strap. The carrier has mesh expandable pockets and zippers that are useful for bringing a leash, food, water, etc. One of the mesh pockets on my unit popped a seam the first time out–a defective stitch. Overall, for the fair price and passable quality and quick shipping, I think it is a good buy, and will do the job for a few more trips.

This is a nice carrier, we bought it for our 8 lb Yorkie. I like the zipper to reach in and calm him down and it seems to be well made. The down side is the shoulder strap goes right where he looks out and he just fits, any larger dog would not.

We were skeptical of putting a teething yellow lab pup in a fabric crate, but when we saw this in a local store, we were impressed! Very sturdy and tight! Extemely well made.

We bought the E36, even though it was a little small for a full size labrador retriever, and we’re glad we did. It’s perfect for him now; he’s 9 weeks old and he took to it like a den. He walks right in when he’s tired. A few minor corrections about not mouthing it, along with a few great toys and rawhide chews, and he’s been absolutely fine. He loves it.

It’s surprisingly nice to be able to open the top as well. We can pick him right up and carry him outside after a nap.

I would recommend using a little softened bar soap on the zippers, because they’re very tight. And of course, I can’t recommend leaving a teething pup in it for long hours. Nor would you put an aggresive or vicious animal in this crate.

We keep it right in our bedroom and the zipper jingles when he scratches the door. We get up and lift him out and bring him to the door. Fabulous!

By the time he outgrows this crate, he probably won’t need it, but I may have to buy him the larger one anyway just because he loves it!

I had looked everywhere to find this crate in the older style model which the company changed about a year ago. The description when I ordered it said it had the stake tie down straps which is specifically what I wanted to secure crates on a rack in my van for travel to shows and the pictures showed the larger mesh window areas of the older model which provide better ventilation. What I got was the newer model which doesn’t have tie down straps and has smaller mesh windows. The picture still shows the larger mesh window area and stake tie down straps, which is not what the newer model has. The description has now been changed to reflect the newer mode, but picture has not been changed. Amazon should make sure their pictures and description reflect exactly what they are selling!

This brand crate is well made and holds up well as I have three of the older model this size and two of a larger size model. I do not like the changes the company made to the newer version though being smaller mesh windows on sides and no tie down straps.

I just bought this carrier yesterday to bring a new cat home in. I picked it up at the local Petco store for about two dollars more than it is listed for here. While at the store I checked out all of the different models and brands. Though I was not impressed with any of them, the color scheme on this model was nice and the plastic moldings on this brand seemed just a bit better than the competition. So far, I am pleased with the purchase. This thing was easy to assemble (there are only three parts) and now that it is together it seems stronger that I would have guessed it would be. The handle is good quality and strong and the built in storage compartment in the top is a nice feature.

Unless you want to spend a lot more, I recommend this as the best buy out there!

This is a great kennel for the price. I could actually fit both my cats in it… well, if they wouldn’t kill each other. The snaps that connect both halves of the kennel together are very sturdy. It’s also great that you can collapse the whole thing for easy storage. The door is also removable, so my cats use theirs as a bed.

This Pet Carrier will not hold any pet up to 20 lbs as stated in the product description. I have a small puppy that is 5 lbs and it is still too small for her. She barely fits in. I would say it is more for a pet weighing up to 3 lbs and no more then that.

First, as a side note, the carrier I received was all black, not black and blue as pictured. My 12-pound Norwich Terrier just fit (she’s pretty sturdily built) and I don’t think a dog any larger than that would fit comfortably. The carrier is fairly easy to adjust, although I did tend to keep a hand under the bottom because Gabby filled it entirely and the center of gravity is different than a baby, who usually either faces you or has their back flush with your chest. A dog tends to be looking outward, which pulls you forward a bit. The collar clip was sufficiently long to attach to Gabby’s harness and seemed secure.
