Very easy to assemble!

We have a multiple cat household and have cats of various ages, sizes and agility skills. Our heaviest cat at 17 lbs fit on all levels and while the platforms at the top are not the biggest he fit on them comfortably. Our oldest cat at 18 years old used the stair climber to the next level from the floor and did so with ease.

The tree is sturdy and we don’t have any wobbling that would make us hesitate having two 17 pound cats at the top jumping around. It is made with solid wood, not particle board which is great! The felt “fake fur” covering the wood is thin, not like the carpet on most other trees, however, it is soft and easy to clean.

The scratching posts are used the most and hold up very well to every use. You may want to get new hanging toys because the little yarn balls that come with the tree fall apart easily.

The product name plate attached to the front of the tree gives it a classy and expensive look even though the cost was very reasonable.

In our opinion we think everyone with a multiple cat household should have one of these. Oh, assemble it where you want it because it is bigger than you think. The company does a great job packing it so you will be surprized at the small box compared to the final size.

I have 6 big kitties – the smallest weighs 10 pounds and the largest is 15 pounds and almost a yard long. I wasn’t sure if they would be able to use the little house, but they all can fit in it and love to sleep there. The tall perches are sturdy and are also favorite sleeping places. We have had this tree for four months, and my cats play hard on it every day. It has held up well – all I have to do is tighten the screws on the taller perches about every 6 weeks. The fur covering is MUCH nicer than the cheap carpeting most companies use. It doesn’t shed all over like the carpet ones do. It is also easy to vacuum or brush clean. There are lots of sisal-wrapped posts for clawing, and they go far enough up that even my biggest cats can get a good stretch.

The tree arrived quickly, in one box, with all pieces and tools included and identified clearly. I put it together by myself in about an hour, even though I am handicapped and only 5 feet tall. The cats were playing on the pieces before I even got it all assembled. The toys I got were a mouse and a fish (with one spare mouse for later!). They have not come apart like the little fluff balls can. My cats have batted, chewed, and clawed these toys… and they still look great! I will never buy cat furniture from any other company. Very highly recommended!!

The tower itself is well made and easy to put together. The toys that come with the tower are another story. DO NOT USE THE TOYS!!!! They are balls of string you attach to the tower via an elastic string. We don’t give our cats string becuase we know it is a serious risk, but with the toy being attached to the tower, I didn’t think there would be a problem. Then I witnessed my very active kitty take the toy in his mouth and dive bomb off the tower. He got bits of string to come off the toy and promptly ate them. We ended up at the vet with a very sick kitty. He could have very easily died. The strings get caught in their intestines and can rub back and forth inside them like a saw until they cut all the way through. Our kitty was fortunate in that the strings did not cut all the way through, they just caused some bad irritation. All in all we spent 8.00 at the vet and if he had needed surgery, it would have been a lot more. I repeat, DO NOT USE THE CAT TOYS THAT COME WITH THIS PRODUCT!!!!!

I bought this cat tree for my two cats (one adult about a year old and one kitten about 4 months old) who had been disagreeing since the younger of the two arrived. They both instantly fell in love with it, and have even stopped fighting since it arrived! I worried at first that the top perch has the tiniest wobble to it, but it doesn’t seem to bother either kitty. They play on it and sit next to each other watching the squirrels go by.

It’s a great product that I’d recommend to anyone with one or more cats. It’s really sturdy with a good solid base. As long as you tighten all the bolts enough, you shouldn’t have any wobble to 95% of its structure (just the very top and only a tiny bit). Assembly is pretty easy, just make sure to put the flat headed bolts in the bottom of the base and not the rounded ones. That might sound like a no-brainer, but all but two of the bolts are the same length and width so it can get confusing if you’re not paying close attention. Also, the directions show the two cat perches on top having the wall lip facing to the right side. My declawed cat found this problematic so I unscrewed the lower one and rotated it 90 degrees counter-clockwise and re-attached it. This seems to be a better configuration than the original because the lips now on the outside edges of the tree and serve to hold the kitties in rather than block their path to the top. The tall posts give both cats things to scratch so they can get a good stretch.

Well lets face it, if you are buying a cat big cat scratcher, they are all made of particle board and cheapy plastic pieces; all of them unless you make it yourself. It wobbles slightly but is better than I had expected. I suggest that you put it up against a wall and anchor the second from the top highest platform to the wall with an L bracket that you can pick up at any hardware store. If you do that, this thing is pretty solid.

I am 7 pounds of feline lovliness with a sleek black coat and enormous golden eyes. I received the Armakat tree as a gift at the beginning of the summer. Clear directions made it very easy to assesmble. I watched, but didnt have to help at all. The tree is huge, so be sure you have enough room for it. I strongly recommend a window location. My job (.5 researcher and .5 security supervisor) is to keep an eye on the urban fauna that roams the neighborhood. The 2nd highest perch on the Armakat tree has become my most reliable workstation. I can see everything from this vantage point, and there is room for my laptop. The Armakat tree is very stable for a cat my size. However, my roommate is a 20+ pound bruiser with an eating disorder and the agility of a potted plant. When he jumps between levels on the tree he makes the upper platforms wobble a bit. I recommend checking the tightness of the bolts from time to time.

First off, I have been shopping for one of these things for about 4 years, but I either didn’t like what I saw or the price was too steep. Sometimes both. This year I decided that I was absolutely going to buy a kitty condo for my three cats no matter what. I found this one and it had all the features that I was looking for. I still hesitated and shopped around at the local petstore. None of the trees were as big as this one and they didn’t have the features I wanted. Plus they were almost twice the price. That settled it. I ordered this kitty condo with the hopes that my cats would think it was just as cool as I did. It was supposed to be their Christmas present after all. I put it together as soon as it showed up (assembly was quite easy I might add) and it was an immediate hit. The male cats love the top perches and the female likes the box to hide in. They also like the dangling yarn balls. The one goes so crazy over them that I’m afraid he might fall off because he forgets where he is. They also use the sisal rope pillars instead of my furniture to sharpen their claws. They haven’t grasped the concept of the hammock, but I think it may just be a matter of time. This is probably the best cat toy I ever got them and they can look out the entire height of the large front window. My cats really love this thing.

I actually bought this elsewhere for a little bit more! My cat was in the house part before it was out of box. I don’t know if they had catnip on it in the box or what but HE LOVES IT and he hates toys. The 2 dangly toys are too much for him. I watched him get so excited he fell off. It came unassembled but only took 1 hour or so by myself and I am not good at building things. It’s not carpet on it but its softer and my cat loves it. The wood looks a little cheaper but it’s durable. I knew my cat would want something call and at local petshop they only had 4 ft ones. This one is taller than me. Only note you should be average to taller height to get top on, I’m 5’1 and was barely able to do it!

Also my cat is fairly big and slightly over weight and he was easily able to fit in the house which was my only concern waiting for the item to come. They have a bunch of other styles too. Overall I am so happy! It is much better than paying over 200-300. thanks Armarkat!

I went to the Armakat home site and found the same product for 9…and they made a point of saying FREE SHIPPING to anywhere in the continental U.S., and I’ll let you do the math. Amazon goes on about how they calculate shipping rates and how they want us to understand about mail order and all, but really…either Armakat or Amazon are being just a little too tricky here. Good product. Easy assembly. I have four cats and they all love it. Some of the cats started playing with it, before it was fully assembled. Two of my cats are rather large and they don’t totally fit in the cubby area. I wish the cubby had more space to accommodate larger cats. I would also prefer if there was another level to help the cats get up and down the thing easier, with out having to jump down so hard on the floor. The ramp is rather steep and therefore kind of pointless. Over all good product.

The Lazy Pet Plush Cat Condo is best suited to kittens and not large adult cats. Once constructed it approximately measures 13 1/2 inches (34cm) Tall and 13 1/2 inches in diameter. This is a great size for kittens but for owners of large loping cats, such as myself, this is too small for them to curl up inside of.

The fur covering the condo is soft and plush with a very short pile and doesn’t appear to molt (like I need more fur in my household). The plush fur covers a plywood base which is nearly 1 inch thick, the roof also feels like it is made from plywood, but it is not as thick. The walls of the condo are fur covered cardboard and the interior walls are lined with a tan felt fabric. To prevent the roof from caving in, there are 3 interior ledges that support the roof.

The condo assembly doesn’t require any tools, it is held together with velcro. Initially I was disappointed with the concept of velcro holding this product together, but it is surprisingly sturdy. The assembly instructions provided were for the two level condo, but I managed to put this together without them. There are 3 pieces – floor, wall, roof. The velcro secures the walls to the base and to the roof, and also fastens the cardboard wall together.

Overall I think this is a 3 star product, but 2 stars from me because of it’s limited potential use in my cat household. I would have returned this product, but the shipping costs involved would have nearly been as much as the purchase price.

I bought the Lazy Pet Plush Condo for my three cats – all are between 9 & 13 lbs. The two larger cats could not fit comfortably in this, but none of them were interested anyways. They tried it once or twice and then it sat in the house for months never to be touched again. I gave it to my mom for her cats. Again, they looked at it a few times and lost interest. We finally donated it to charity. Besides the lack of interest from the cats, the design is rather flimsy. I suspect this is why my cats didn’t like it. When they tried to sit on top of it, it would shake unsteadily. When they leaned against it to scratch, it wobbled. I think for the money you could find a much better product.
